Services for Adults

Illustrations of communication and learning, including sign language and conversation.

Speech pathology services for adults focus on strengthening communication, swallowing and cognitive‑linguistic skills so clients can participate fully in everyday life. Adults may seek support after an ADHD or Autism diagnosis (later in life), after stroke, brain injury, progressive conditions (e.g MND, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Dementia etc), hearing changes, voice strain, or simply to communicate more confidently at work, home and in the community.


  • Communication therapy - support for speech clarity, language, social communication and expressing ideas with confidence.
  • Voice therapy - evidence‑based approaches for vocal fatigue, hoarseness, professional voice use and gender‑affirming voice work.
  • Fluency support - strategies for adults who stutter or experience cluttering, with a focus on confidence, control and communication ease.
  • Swallowing assessment and therapy - guidance for safe eating and drinking, mealtime strategies and rehabilitation following medical changes.
  • Cognitive‑communication therapy - support for memory, planning, organisation, problem‑solving and communication after neurological events.
  • AAC for adults - assessment and training for communication devices, apps and alternative communication systems.
  • Carer and family education - practical, strengths‑based coaching to support communication and independence across daily routines.
